People do not build relationships with production pipelines. They return to a voice that helps them see, feel, or understand something differently.
Begin with a person to serve.
Every creator starts with a specific audience, a real tension in their lives, and a useful role the character can play. A face is not a reason to follow. A meaningful promise is.
Say something only this character would say.
Voice, values, cultural context, humor, and boundaries turn information into perspective. The audience should understand what the creator stands for before they know the whole story.
Never hide what is synthetic.
Our characters are openly synthetic. Their usefulness, editorial standards, and relationship with the audience must carry the work—not an attempt to pass fiction off as a real person.
